1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this website and your purchase of any Alchemetry services. They are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that business.
2. Our Services
Alchemetry builds AI Operating Systems (AIOS) for small and medium businesses, and provides related services, including:
The AI Integration Audit. A paid engagement that includes a co-discovery consultation, a custom written report delivered via a private web page with a PDF download, a handover session and a defined post-handover support period. The inclusions, price and support terms are stated on the offer page at the time of purchase.
The AIOS Build. A fixed-price, fixed-scope build of an AI Operating System for your business: your branded system deployed, the knowledge and documents you supply embedded, and the skills, integrations, handover and training stated on the offer page. The scope, price and timeline are stated at the time of purchase. Work beyond the stated scope is handled under an Alchemetry Custom Studio subscription or as separately agreed work.
Software and system subscriptions. Where you subscribe to a plan that includes use of software, hosting or systems we configure and manage for you (for example the monthly subscription that runs your system, and the optional Alchemetry Custom Studio subscription), your subscription covers use of that system while your subscription remains active. Plan inclusions and monthly fees are stated at the time of sign-up.
Alchemetry Community and other digital content, where offered, on the terms stated at the time of purchase.
We may decline, refer or subcontract work at our discretion. Where work is referred to or performed by a third party, we will tell you.
3. Pricing and Payment
Prices are displayed and billed in United States dollars (USD) unless stated otherwise. Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion and international transaction fees, which are outside our control.
The total price payable, including any applicable taxes, is disclosed before you pay. Where Australian GST applies it will be identified at or before checkout.
Payments are processed by third party payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
For Alchemetry Custom Studio subscriptions and any separately agreed custom work, payment terms (including any deposit, instalments or milestone payments) are set out at sign-up or in your invoice. We may pause or withhold delivery of work while an amount due remains unpaid, subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Quoted prices for separately agreed custom work are valid for the period stated in the quote.
4. Consultations and the Audit
Audit engagements begin with a co-discovery consultation. So we can prepare your report, consultations may be recorded and transcribed. We will tell you before recording begins and you may decline, in which case we will take written notes instead.
The report is prepared from the information you provide. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of that information, and the report’s recommendations rely on it.
We use professional software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help analyse consultation material and prepare deliverables. All recommendations are reviewed by us before delivery. See the Privacy Policy below for how consultation material is handled.
The support period included with the Audit starts at handover and runs for the period stated on the offer page. Response time commitments apply during business hours (AEST) on business days.
5. Consumer guarantees, refunds and cancellations
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with a service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
In addition to those rights:
Change of mind. We are not required to provide a refund where you simply change your mind, but tell us as early as you can and we will work with you where we reasonably can. If you cancel an Audit engagement before the co-discovery consultation has taken place, we will refund what you have paid less any non-recoverable costs we have already incurred.
Rescheduling. Consultations may be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Repeated failure to attend a booked consultation without notice may be treated as a change-of-mind cancellation.
Custom Studio work. Custom Studio subscriptions are month to month and may be cancelled with effect from the end of the current billing period. Jobs completed or in progress to the date of cancellation remain payable. There are no refunds or roll-overs for unused capacity.
Nothing in this section limits your consumer guarantee rights.
6. Subscriptions, Cancellation and Asset Release
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription by written notice as set out at sign-up. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless we agree otherwise. We do not refund partially used billing periods for change of mind, subject always to your consumer guarantee rights.
Systems, sites and automations we build and host under a subscription remain hosted within our accounts and platforms while your subscription is active. If you end your subscription and want assets migrated or released to your own accounts, an asset release and migration service is available for the fee disclosed at sign-up or quoted at the time of your request. What can be released depends on the third party platforms involved and their licensing, which we will explain before you commit to the fee.
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days written notice. If you do not accept a price change you may cancel before it takes effect.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, branding, frameworks, report structures and design, is owned by or licensed to Alchemetry and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without our written permission.
On full payment, you own the deliverables prepared specifically for you (for example your report and documents created for your business), for use in your business.
We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, methods, frameworks, templates, tooling and know-how, including where they are embedded in your deliverables. You receive a licence to use them as part of your deliverables in your business, and we remain free to reuse them for other clients.
Third party software configured for you (for example CRM platforms and hosting services) remains owned by its providers and subject to their licence terms.
8. Third Party Platforms and Affiliate Disclosure
Our services rely on third party platforms and software (for example CRM, hosting, scheduling, payment and communication tools). We choose reputable providers but do not control them, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes to their features or pricing, or their acts and omissions, except to the extent the Australian Consumer Law makes us responsible for services we supply to you.
Affiliate disclosure. Alchemetry participates in affiliate programs for some of the tools we recommend. This means we may receive a commission if you purchase certain tools through our links. We will tell you which recommendations involve an affiliate relationship. An affiliate commission never determines what we recommend; our recommendation is the same whether or not an affiliate program exists.
9. General Information and Results
Content on this website and in our free materials is general information only. It is not financial, legal, accounting or other professional advice, and it does not take your circumstances into account.
Our reports and recommendations are professional opinions based on the information available to us. Business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your implementation, your market and your customers. We do not guarantee any particular revenue, savings or business result, and any examples or case studies describe specific situations that may not reflect your outcome.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use this website or our services for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, scrape or harvest data from this website, or upload malicious code. We may suspend access where we reasonably believe this section has been breached.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, and other than liability that cannot be limited, our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with our services is limited, at our election, to resupplying the relevant services or paying the cost of having the relevant services supplied again. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or business opportunity. Each party’s liability is reduced to the extent the other party’s acts or omissions contributed to the loss.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page applies from its “last updated” date. Changes do not apply retrospectively to engagements already underway except as required by law or agreed with you.

What You Own
Once an engagement is paid in full, you own the deliverables we created specifically for your business, such as your report and documents prepared for you, for use in your business.
What We Retain
We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, methods, frameworks, templates, tooling and know-how, including where they are embedded in your deliverables. You receive a licence to use them as part of your deliverables in your business, and we remain free to reuse them for other clients.
Third Party Software
Platforms we configure for you, such as CRM, hosting, scheduling and payment tools, remain owned by their providers and are subject to their licence terms. We cannot transfer ownership of software we do not own.
Hosting Under a Subscription
Where your plan includes a system, site or automations we build and manage, those assets are hosted within our accounts and platforms while your subscription is active. This is what allows us to maintain, secure and support them for you.
Leaving
If you end your subscription and want your assets migrated or released to your own accounts, an asset release and migration service is available for the fee disclosed at sign-up or quoted at the time of your request. What can be released depends on the third party platforms involved and their licensing, and we will explain exactly what you will receive before you commit to the fee. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
RETURNS & REFUNDS
Your Consumer Rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, which applies in South Australia alongside the Fair Trading Act 1987 (SA). If a service has a major failure you may cancel and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. If a failure is not major, we will remedy it within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
The AI Integration Audit
If you cancel before your co-discovery consultation has taken place, we will refund what you have paid, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred. Once the consultation has been held the engagement is under way, and change-of-mind refunds are no longer available. If the delivered report is not of acceptable quality or does not match its description, contact us and we will remedy it or refund you in line with the Australian Consumer Law.
The AIOS Build
The Build is a fixed-price custom service. If you cancel before the build begins, we will refund what you have paid, less any work already completed and non-recoverable costs. Once your system is delivered, change-of-mind refunds are not available. Consumer guarantees continue to apply: if the system does not do what we promised, we will remedy it or refund you as the law requires.
Subscriptions
The monthly subscription and the optional Alchemetry Custom Studio are billed in advance. The Custom Studio may be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; unused capacity is not refunded or rolled over. The monthly subscription runs while your system is live and ends when the system is decommissioned or released to you. We do not refund partially used billing periods for change of mind, subject always to your consumer guarantee rights.
Third Party Costs
Anthropic API usage billed to your own key, and any third party tools you choose to keep running, are charged by their providers under their own terms and are not refundable by us.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
How to Make a Claim
Email contact@alchemetrygroup.com with your engagement details and the issue. We will respond within a reasonable period, and approved refunds are returned to your original payment method.
